The San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White underwent surgery to repair an injury on hisleft foot toe, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

It’s unclear when White had sustained the injury. He suffered a knee contusion during the NBA season restart in Orlando. San Antonio’s guard, a great perimeter defender, is eligible for a rookie-scale extension this offseason.

White averaged a career-best 11.3 points per contest in the shortened 2019-2020 season and became a blow-out star for the Spurs in the season restart, averaging 18.9 points in 7 seeding games.
