The United States of America answered their critics in style, winning the 2010 FIBA World Championship by hammering Turkey, 81-64 in front of a hostile crowd at the Sinan Erdem Arena in Istanbul.

Kerem Tunceri scored a game-winning lay-up as Turkey edged out Serbia 83-82 to set up a showdown with the USA in Sunday’s final of the 2010 FIBA World Championship. 

The United States of America beat Lithuania 89-74 to book their place in the final of the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

In a night to be remembered USA and Turkey got the two tickets to the final which will take place in some hours. USA rolled over Lithuania rather easily taking advantage of their athleticism and, of course, Durant while Turkey snatched a win over Serbia with just a half a second to go!

A strong third quarter from the United States of America saw them march on to the semi-finals, after beating Russia, 89-79 in Istanbul.

In spite of being underdog, in spite of not having more than half of the main team, Lithuania reached semi-finals of FIBA World Championship by thrashing Argentina 104-85. This was the 8th straight win for The Green Tank, a name which was given to the Baltic side by the Spanish media.

The hosts of World Championship continue showing impressive as they beat Slovenia convincingly 95-68 in quarter-final. Turkey left no chances to their opponents and dominated the whole game.
