ZalgirisZalgiris will not be able to sign any new players until they pay their debt to a former player Ratko Varda after FIBA placed a sanction on Lithuanian club. Varda joined Zalgiris before 2008-2009 season but was forced to look for another team after the club was hit by financial troubles. According to the court ruling, Zalgiris owes a part of the wage to Varda.

The management of Zalgiris believes that the amount of money owed by the Greens is smaller therefore they refuse to pay to Varda.
