The management of Virtus decided that the club will not participate in next season's edition of the Eurocup. The club is inbetween an ownership change and that could be the reason.

There were just a few words in the official announcement of the club:

"Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna anounces with regret that the club will not participate in the Eurocup 2009-2010."
