Velickovic: We will have to give our best

Novica Velickovic has had previous experience with Oldenburg coach Predrag Krunic and players from the German club. He foresees a tough game and wants to take a step forward to the style of play Ettore Messina wants to establish.

About his acquaintances:

"I know coach Predrag Krunic very well. He was my first coach when I was 10 years old. He is a hard-working coach and I learnt a lot from him. He is getting great results in Germany after so many years. Oldenburg also has some players from former Yugoslavia that I played against. They are all very talented, understand the game really well and make Oldenburg even more solid."

About Oldenburg:

"Oldenburg is the German League champion, a proud team that will give us a hard time. It is a club that wants to be recognized in Europe and beating Real Madrid is a first step to reach that goal. I expect a tough, balanced game in which we will have to give our best from the very beginning. The game against Oldenburg must be another step forwards to get to the solid, dynamic basketball that we want to play."

About Real's presence so far in the Euroleague:

"So far, we only had a bad Euroleague game against Khimki. We have been improving since that loss and played quite well against Panathinaikos."
