Vasilopoulos to miss Eurobasket 2009

Greece National Team coach Jonas Kazlauskas will have a very difficult job this summer as it seems that many regular members of the Greek National Team have either decided to sit out of Eurobasket 2009 to rest or are facing injury problems, with Panagiotis Vasilopoulos being the last casualty.
The Greek forward confirmed that playing in Eurobasket 2009, next autumn, is not probable due to his injury. A possible new injury would need a surgery to be fixed in the future and the players is not willing to take that risk.

Kostas Tsartsaris and Lazaros Papadopoulos are already out of the team for various reasons while Dimitris Diamantidis and Teo Papaloukas have yet to decide if they will travel to Poland.
