PAOK announced new coach

PAOK Thessaloniki announced Anastasios Markopoulos as their new coach. The 60 year old coach is considered one of the best Greek coaches and led Maroussi to the Euroleague for the first time in their history in the past season.

Markopoulos signed a 2+1 contract with the Northern Greek team and this will be his second stint in PAOK after he led them to the Korac Cup back in 1994.

Markopoulos has also coached PAOK arch-rivals Aris and other teams such as Makedonikos and Marousi who wanted to keep him but but could not keep him due to their limited budget of next season.
