Semis are over in the Mediterranean Games 2009 in Pescara and Greece will be facing Croatia in the final of the tournament.

In a close game Greece managed to grab the win over Turkey behind 26 points and 10 rebounds of Nikos Papanikolaou who won the Rookie of the Year trophy of the Greek League earlier in the summer. Atsur's 20 points were not enough for the Turks. Final score was 82-79.

Greece will be facing Croatia in the final thanks to a 108-104 win over Italy in the second semifinal. Croatia was led by Damir Rancic who had 29 points and 7/13 3pointers. Italy saw 30 points by Daniele Cinciarini and 29 byPietro Aradori.

In the 5-8 placement games Morocco beat Montenegro 81-60 and will be facing Albania for the 5th place game, who beat Serbia 83-69.
