As it was officially made known today Oktay Mahmuti has rejected Benetton's renewal offer and will leave the club effective today.

Although there was a mutual wish to continue together, the Turkish coach rejected Benetton's offer due to the club's management to reduce the club's budget next season while they also did not reach a consensus regarding the financial terms of his contract.

Benetton is now expected to turn to the Greek, ex-Pamesa Valencia, coach Fotis Katsikaris to replace Mahmuti, as their previous target Rimas Kurtinaitis is probably staying with Lietuvos Rytas.
