Israeli champion Maccabi Tel Aviv added American Doron Perkins to their squad for next season. The guard penned a deal for one year with the option for an additional one.

One of the best players in the Israeli league, Perkins was named MVP last season while playing for Maccabi Haifa. He averaged a solid 15.8 points, 5.6 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game in the reagular season, helping his previous club to reach the BSL final, where they lost precisely to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
A product of the Santa Clara University, the 27-year-old played in Japan (Toyota Alvark), Germany (Oldenburg) and Belgium (Bree) before moving to Israel.
Perkins was recently invited to naturalise Russian in order to play for the Russia national team at Eurobasket 2009.
