Bet-Halahmi returns to Ashkelon

After having 8 coaches in the last 3 seasons, Ironi Ashkelon decided that Ariel Bet-Halahmi is the right man for them. Bet-Halahmi coached the team from 03/04 to 05/06 and led it to the playoff semi-finals in 04/05, a season in which he won coach award of the year of the Israeli League.

Bet-Halahmi coached Ironi Nahariya in 06/07 and 07/08. In the second season he was replaced by Roni Bussani. Last year Bet-Halahmi replaced Moshe Weinkrantz in Bnei Hasaharon but failed to lead the team to the Final Four.

Bet-Halahmi record in the Israeli Leauge is 233 games, 120 victories and 113 losses. He is the third between the current coaches of the league in games coached after Pini Gershon and Effi Birenboim.

Bet-Halahmi is the current coach of the Israeli U-20 National Team.
