After the loss of important players like Kaya Peker, Sandro Nicevic and Sinan Güler, Turkish powerhouse Beşiktaş Cola Turka has begun to strengthen their squad with experienced point guard Mire Chatman. Chatman played in Russia for Triumph Lyubertsy last season and averaged 12.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 11 ULEB Cup games.
The player also played for Ventspils, Pau Orthez and Roma in Europe before. This was the first foreign player transfer of Beşiktaş, after adding domestic players Haluk Yıldırım, Muratcan Güler, Adem Ören and Ömer Ünver.
