Union Olimpija pulled off one of the biggest transfers of the offseason, landing 28-year old Sani Becirovic, who returns to the club from the Slovenian capital after 8 years.196cm tall Becirovic enjoyed a successful career in many European top clubs during this 8-year span, including Virtus Bologna, Fortitudo Bologna and Panathinaikos.
Last season he stood in competition with Lottomatica Roma, averaging 14.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 13 games in the Euroleague, while in the Italian Lega he had 10.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
Olimpija is expected to sign another Slovenian international player in the upcoming days.
