Allen Iverson is headed to Detroit in exchange for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess, and Cheikh Samb. Both teams agreed to the trade in principle, although the trade has not yet been finalized it will almost surely go down.

This trade spells the end of that famous starting lineup for the Pistons, which means both their fan favorite starting point guard, Big Shot Billups, and their veteran power forward, Antonio Mcdyess will both be sent packing along with Cheikh Samb.

After the loss in the Eastern Conference finals, Joe Dumars, Pistons GM, said that no players position was safe.

For AI this is just what he has been waiting for, he told Stephen A. Smith of ESPN that he wanted to play for a championship team this season.

The Pistons don't have a problem trading Billups, as the young star Rodney Stuckey played big his rookie year in 07-08.
