Yao Ming has retired from basketball after injuries prevented him from playing for most of the past two seasons. This is sad news as Yao had the potential to be one of the best centers of all time. On top of that he always struck me as a really decent human being.

It's a sad thing to see a player ends his career because of injuries.. He was a very important player to the NBA financially, exposing it to the huge Chinese market. Who would they mass-vote for in the All-Star now? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
@Black Urum-what did you mean?
