Greek team looking for players (boys and girls) to join them in EYBL
#1
We are a basketball club from Greece called Ianthos. We are the first club from Greece to join the European Youth Basketball League.

We will be participating in the following leagues:

Boys:
U20 (born 1994 and younger)
U15 (born 1999 and younger)

Girls:
U17 (born 1997 and younger)

According to the league's regulations, we are entitled to feature two guest players in our rosters for each team we send. These players can play in their own country's league with the team that they belong to but at the same time they can also play with us in EYBL (it's 3 phases per year, 4 days long each, and if we qualify to the superfinals then it's one phase more). We would like to fill some of those guest spots with foreign players. Your stay during the phases (accomodation and food) is covered by the organizers and if we pick you we will also take care of all your travelling costs if you come from one of the following countries:

- Lithuania
- Latvia
- Estonia
- Belarus
- Poland
- West parts of Russia
- Sweden
- Finland

Those interested can send an email to dimitris at ianthos dot org and please include any material that might be helpful to make us pick you (youtube videos, stats from your own league etc).

We are looking forward to your mails. Here is a video with the highlights from our last year's regional games. Some of them are from the younger leagues , some of them from the older leagues...we still played with young players though as we are giving a high priority to young talents.

PS If you want to participate in the U20 league you might want to send an email as quickly as possible because the league begins next week.

Great effort! I had never heard of such a league existing, and it is very nice seeing basketball blossom outside of Thessaloniki and Athens! Talents exist everywhere, and if everyone has a chance to play at a good level, they could become pro. Although becoming pro means that it should happen only based upon how good of a talent you are, and not having to pay to become one, as has usually been the rule in Greece for decades now Rolleyes
