It has been 8 years since Alphonso Ford died of leukemia. He was a fantastic player and person. A player that every basketballfan loved to watch. He was a legend in Europe. Alphonso was one of the players that I admired when I was a little boy and I'll never forget him. He died to soon. Now he's playing with the other basketball-legends in heaven. Thank you for everything that you did for basketball. Rest in peace Alphonso

Also, I've always thought his story would make for an amazing documentary. I wish ESPN 30 for 30 would pick this up.
