Lithuania was the luckiest one judging from the second group team they draw with! ;)
We draw with the most difficult team from group B.

Anyway, everything depends on Greece, Russia and Lithuania. Meaning their available rosters.

I predict that Venezuela will beat Greece in a close game with questionable officiating and TalkBasket will implode.

While I agree that those are the three best teams in the tournament, I think that 1 or maybe even 2 of those teams gets tripped up. The Dominican Republic would be one of those teams to pose a threat, especially given the expected addition of Sammy Mejia to the squad but the loss of Senor Horford to injury is a tough blow.

I don't say it will be easy but I think they will qualify.
Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic are teams with many very good individuals and they'll be tough to beat but I think that the depth of Greece, Russia and Lithuania is the key.
I agree that we might have an upset but I don't believe that there can be more than 1 of them.

Actually Russia seems to be at the most comfortable position here as they have no threat to meat any powerhouse in 4 finals. Mecedonia is the worst scenario. While Greece and Lithuania might meat each other and that's a problem because both teams should be in Olympics, IMO.

He is the worst defender I have seen for a long time. Seems to me the only good thing he is good at is dunking and he can grab some rebounds too.
Respect and thanks for everything: Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

Hellas is doing great in Caracas, as I expected of course. There's no team to fear in this tourney whatsoever. Most teams are way below par for Olympic qualification, and you can bank on that. Puerto Rico was full of hype but to no avail. A comfortable win at the end. Nigeria will lose emphatically, and I expect to meet Russia in the semis accompanied with a win, and that's all she wrote. Our team is rock solid even without Koufos or DD.

My Predictions:

Russia - Angola +25 R

Greece - Nigeria +15 G

Fyrom - Dominican Republic +7 FYR

Lithuania - Puerto Rico +1-6 PR.. This could be the surprise of the tourney, as Lithuania are playing below their usual self..

Cheers!

What Teo said pretty much.

But Lithuania is playing pretty sub-par, not sure what the problem is.
