Hey Stefans! It is all NBA Development League(D-League) guys. Many of them were really good in NCAA and some of them have international experience. I will post a roster.

The expectations are not high for them. USA has not won the Pan American games since 1983. Also yesterday we almost lost to the Dominican Republic. USA won 77-76. Our USA team is not very athletic or maybe it was DR was more athletic. USA had to play half court game because we could not run with DR team. Today we play Brazil so I'm expecting a loss.

USA lost 80-82! It was an exciting game going down to the last second. Uruguay forced turnovers and out hustled the USA. USA hustled and played hard as well BUT URUGUAY would not be denied.

USA needs to improve on:
Turnovers: I think the USA had 11 turnovers this game

Patience: stop rushing up shots. Trust each other.

USA Good points:
Hustle and effort was good.

3pt Shooting was good

With the Knicks and Heat both good again, these D-leaguers are just trying to earn their way to an NBA playoff roster. :D

Oct 28: 3rd day update

Group A
Puerto Rico 2-1
Canada 1-2
Argentina 1-2
Mexico 2-1

Group B
Brazil 1-2
United States 2-1
Dominican Republic 2-1
Uruguay 1-2

MEDAL ROUND

USA vs Mexico

Puerto Rico vs Dominican Republic

Comments:
PR with is 4 NBA players and 2 solid international players were the favorite on paper. With injuries to PR main players the field is wide open. Anyone can beat anyone. There are no undefeated teams. All teams in the the medal round look vulnerable. Anything can happen here.

HAHAHAHA! AH that brings back good memories of the Heat/Knicks fights. At one point during this Brazil/USA match up Stiesma went airborne and tackled a Brazilian player football style. It was a great game to watch. They all have been.

Mexico raped USA 71-55. Mexico never quit attacking. Mexico was relentless. I haven't seen a USA team get beat this bad since 2006. Congrats to Mexico they are in the gold medal game.
