Here we are!!!
Eurobasket 2011 final!

In my opinion Spain has the advantage of great chemistry and I think easy or not they will repeat their titles.

I hope though that France will win it!!

If Parker and Batum have a great night, then France will have hopes for the win!!

On the other side, Pau Gasol and Navarro should be the main targets of French defense, although I don't see how you can stop them.
Of course Parker is very difficult to be stopped too!!

I feel that Noah will have a great all around game on Sunday!! ;)

Let's go "African Viking"!! ;) :D :P :) B)

Move over Spain, France is the new kid on the block! I think that France will shock Spain. Spain hasn't faced anything like France's athleticism and considering that France took a late summer holiday the first time that they met they can still really surprise Spain.

I'll be rooting for France, but I'm afraid what we all suspected since before the start of Eurobasket will happen. Spain's arsenal is just too much to cope with for any team.
Respect and thanks for everything: Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

Spain will soundly defeat France. Their dexterity adeptness and deeper bench, will see them through, sad to say. The French barely defeated Hellas which is a fair to good 'B' team at this point in time. I don't foresee the French and their NBA scrubs doing anything more than choking. Choking is their trademark, and I'll basically leave it at that. Spain 15+ :tease:

Well France getting blasted in the first group game didn't help its image. France may have Parker and Batum playing exceptionally well, but the other players have to pull much more of their weight if they are going to achieve anything past the fact that Spain is a team that is full of quality players at each position, and they play much more as a team. Team play was the reason why we almost beat the French, and this is a phrase definitely in the Spaniards' vocabulary.

We didn't choke this time  and the French team has achieved its main goal which is qualifying for the olympic game. Like i said before i don't think we stand much chance against Spain. However our player will play without any pressure, they are where they wanted to be and winning this final would be a great, great bonus.

Your players will "die" on the court to win the trophy because they know that is very possible that this will be the first and last time(for a long time) they have the opportunity of winning the gold!!
That's because Parker don't have more than 2 Eurobaskets left...

I think it's gonna be a close one, France really is serious this time, they came to gain the respect they deserve, but I still think Spain should be to much. No need to ask who I'm gonna root for.

Spain is way too powerful in the paint. However Batum and Trahore are on heat still they are a bit short. Annoyingly Spain are the favorites but I want France wins it. Parker was amazing so far he can snatch it maybe.

They will play at 100%, no doubt, but what i meant is they might not be disappointed as much as we could think if they go on to lose this game.

If France lose then your players will definitely not be as much disappointed as they would be if they lose from someone else.

France players are aware of the situation. They are the outsiders.
So they won't be as nervous as they would in an other situation! ;)
That my be good for them.

I definitely want Spain to lose but I don't see that happening. :( :baby:

Yeah, although I haven't really seen him perform in clutch time like Parker and Batum. Let's not forget that when things don't work out for Spain, the refs see to making sure that things turn to their favour by giving phantom technicals, non-existent charges and other charges of the sort to give free points to Spain without effort. France should do absolutely anything it can to win this now, so that Spain doesn't have the air to say that they've won Eurobasket two times in a row and they start annoyingly calling themselves "mes que un equipo baloncesto nacional"

Yeah, Nando de Colofardos has been really shooting the orange well. I think he needs more vitamins though, to improve his work in the paint too!!

Ha! I can't see Nando ever having a great interior presence no matter how many vitamins he takes. He does get a fair amount of rebounds though and at least against Russia, De Colo and Parker really got to them on D. They had 7 steals combined! I hope they do that again to Spain.

If De Colo - Trahure-Batum trio can support Noah inside, I think they can win.

The Gasol brothers have some awesome hi-lo cooperation, this needs to be adressed. It seems that Marc is passing the ball a lot better than shooting it. If Navarro goes apeshit throwing bombs again like in the semis? Better say your prayers!

I know it sounds strange as a match-up but I think that Parker should guard Navarro because he's the only one who's faster than Juan Carlos. They have to fight speed with speed, as PAO did by putting Calathes on Navarro!!

Of course there is a difference here. PAO wanted Calathes to guard Navarro because we had Diamantidis! If Parker runs after Navarro in every defense he'll not be "Parker" on offense!! ;)
I hope De Colo will be able to cope with Navarro's quickness and speed! B)

Anyway, we'll see!

Noah, tonight, have to bring his 'A' game in order to make it hard for Pau to score!
If they put him on Marc it will be a mistake... :bag:
Although, I'm pretty sure that they'll put him on Marc! :rofl3: That's because, if France's center guards Spain's PF, then who's going to guard Spain's center? We talk about a good and heavy center, only Noah can guard him.
Collet has work to do... :baby:

I don't care what you do Mr. Collet, win that game!!! ;)

how can fernandez not be ejected for this foul!!!!!! wow i understand now why you hate Spain , they get so much help from the refs, it's digusting. i already noticed two or three very suspect calls.
You know i can accept a spain win because the're clearly superior but that doesn't they're great winner. i can't wait when Navarro and Gasol will retire from their national team, it will be a great day for international basketball.
Damn, i'm so mad
