45% at free throws. Is it possible to win a game with this? Besides while Dirk was at the bench, our genius coach didn't use Enes. We still make easy mistakes that wouldn't be at this level tournaments. Although we got 9 rebounds more than Germany, we lost. Now our destiny is in Lithuania's hands. Actually from now on I don't think we can get a win against Serbia.

QTR 2 FRANCE 2-0 France needs to finish stronger at the basket. Noah and Batum blowing baskets. Diaw is showing his emotional instability. Overall France seems to have a calm mental strength. France needs to hit a few more jumpers and 3pts. This is France game to lose. Lietuva is strong but can they guard inside without fouling? It is still anyone's game...

Currently: France is giving Lithuania a real run for its money? Super fast ball is being played, the style that favours France. If France continues like this, I don't think Lithuania has much of a chance beating the tricolore.

France won Lithuania, so on Sunday we will watch a game between the, probably, two best teams in Eurobasket 2011!! :thup:

Nnado De Colo was the man tonight for France.
Before the game, he averaged 2.2 points per game but tonight he gave France the win by scoring 21(!) points, grabbing 4 rebounds and making 5(!) steals(he even stole the ball from Saras hands)! :thup:

Russia has no chance for gold maybe for semis if get little easy team but in first group are all awesome teams.
Also FYROM will have highest placement and that is quarter-final.Reality will be that all four qualified teams from group E in quarter-final will play in semis. :baby:

GROUP E SCENARIOS seem to go like this:

anything is possible.

for 1-2 places france and spain will compete. the winner is 1st, the loser 2nd

the rest will play for 3-4.

Lets take all odds

first case
Lithuania wins => ends up 3rd
Turkey wins=> ends up 4th

2nd case
Lithuania wins => ends up 3rd
Serbia wins=> ends up 4th

3rd case
Germany wins, Turkey wins
Germany 3rd, Lithuania 4th

4th case
Germany wins , Serbia wins
triple equality for Serbs, Lithuanians & Germans
up to now we have , Serbia - Germany +11, Lithouania - Serbia +10
so
Serbs are on +1 aggregate
and Lithuanians can afford to lose up to 10 pts.

Germany wins by 1 to 9 pts

Lithuania +1 or more, Serbia +1, Germany -2 or more
and
Lithuania 3rd, Serbia 4th

So if Germany wins by 10 pts we have
Serbia +1, Lithuania 0, Germany -1 so Serbs 3rd, Lithuanians 4th

if germany wins by 11 or 12 pts
Serbs +1 , Germans 0 or +1 , Lithuanians -1 or -2 so Serbs are 3rd and Germans 4th

and last (sub)case
germans win by 13 or more
Germany +2 or more, Serbs +1 , Lithuanians - 3 or more

and Germany 3rd, Serbia 4th

You could be right. We have a good shot against the russians, if we nullify Kirilenko. Russia's whole game plan is centered around this guy, so were in with a chance. My prediciton is 55-45 Russia. I hope I'm proven wrong!!
