I would be extremely surprised if Mantzaris played for Olympiacos just months after he watched Barcelona final four wearing a PAO jersey.

Hey Black Urum what's the deal on this Fasengas kid that had the alleged forged passport to play for the Hellas younger NT's?

What team does he belong to? Is he half Greek like Sofo or is he fully foreign? Fasengas doesn't exactly sound Greek, sounds Argentinian or something

He is foreigner and got adopted as far as I know... something like Iliades the judoka.

Don't know where he belongs to, most probably the Greek army for now... I think he is way overrated anyway.

Aris signed ex-Princeton Greek-American Dan Mavraides!

According to the article Dan is a very good 3-point shooter and plays as PG and SG and he is 193cm tall!
Great addition for Aris and hopefully he will be great enough to play for the national team!!!

Well, another Greek-American that according to the article is very good 3-point shooter, he is 193cm tall and he played in NCAA for Princeton for 4 seasons. Every year he had better numbers from the previous one!!

Hopefully, he will be good enough to play for the national team or let's for the Greek-American national team!!

If they're indeed good players, they will be cheap, since coming over to Greece will be more of an emotional issue than a financial one. Good (perhaps even great) players for small contracts, what else could Aris, or any Greek team in this era ask for?!

Let's not jump the gun tho, we gotta see what this guy is all about first.

Black Urum I have heard the rumor that Caja Laboral wants Nick Calathes to replace Marcelinho Huertas. Is it true that there is interest in Calathes? I don't think that he'll leave PAO, they are one of the best teams in Europe and his brother has come to the club. I only see him leave if he gets a monster offer he can't refuse but I don't think this will happen

Yeah, it's true, they want him.

But I hope they know that this is not even 1% possible.

Why should Calathes leave his homeland, the euroleague champions and the chance to play with his brother. Another reason he's not going to leave is that this season he is going to play for 25+ minutes!

Ex-PAO & OLY player, Dimitris Papanikolaou, retires after 20 years!


He wasn't the best individual player but he won many titles and he also played for the Greek national team!

He was the only player to win the Euroleague with OLY(1997-triple crown) and PAO(2007-triple crown)!

Yes, monkey face has finally retired. He wasn't a very technical player at all; couldn't dribble, couldn't shoot, could pass a bit, but what made him stand out was his stuborness, I remember him in one game against the US he tried to dunk in Shaq's face!!! He did fail obviously, but kudos to him for having the balls to even attempt it!!!

I bet he takes up coaching soon enough
