Adriatic league Board decided that the new 2011/2012 season with 14 participants will start on 8th October and the finals will be played in Tel Aviv.

Three teams were given a special invitation, Maccabi as a foreign guest, and Cibona and FMP on a national basis, which is required for confirmation.

Besides them, the participants are Partizan, Hemofarm, Radnicki (Serbia), Union Olimpija, Krka, Helios, Zlatorog (Slovenia), Siroki (B&H), Buducnost (Montenegro), and Zagreb and Cedevita (Croatia).

As in the previous few seasons regular season will contain 26 rounds to be played to 17 March, while the 11th Final Four weekend will be held in the capital of Israel in 7 and 8 or 21 and 22 April 2012.

On Monday (3.10.) Maccabi is comming to Lasko. I can't wait to see all the MTA stars. It will be an amazing event for such a small town and for such a young team (Zlatorog's average age is only 22). :D

I don't think anybody believes that it would be easy, I mean I do think that we're the favorites but it won't be easy at all, especially in a season that we compete in 3 different competition, which means 3 games a week.

Yeah, too much. But, being the official sponsor and having F4 in Tel-Aviv, I think the league has been sold this year due to financial problems. Of curse, I am not saying that Maccabi bought the title, but something tells me that ABA will lick somebody's ass to see him next year ;)

What do you mean being the official sponsor?
Actually the final-four in Tel Aviv may be to get historical justice, as I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be here in 2003 but because of the situation in the area (2nd Intifada days) they moved it, although there was absolutely no problem before or after to secure teams that came here and never did something go wrong.

There was an article telling how MTA's wild card was so expensive that they covered so much of the League's problems. I don't know where i've read it though. Not the official, unofficial is what I wanted to say, sorry :)

Maccabi 83 Novo Mesto 68
Sofo 18, Farmar 11, Smith 11, Ohayon 8 (5 steals), James 8 (3 blocks according to Adriatic league site but I counted at least 5, and he played only 14 minutes), Burstein 8 (surprised with a good game)

My impressions from the game-a SG is needed, absolutely no doubt about that. most of the game we played either with 2 PGs, Tal as SG (he wasn't bad but he definitely can't play more than 10 minutes in euroleague level) or with Smith as SG, Scheyer didn't get to play a lot and when he did he showed nothing special.
Farmar is not forcing at all, standing aside most of the time but when it's needed from him, he easily takes the ball to the rim.
Yogev is continuing his very good performances just like preparation games and seem to know his place in the team.
James have put some extra weight on him this summer, huge improvement and his blocking and rebounding skills are just as great as they used to be and I won't be surprised if we see him play quite some time in the Euroleague as well.
PS-Papaloukas didn't play.
