I think you mean Kaukenas Posted Image

By the way, if you look at the polls on top of this page you will see that TB experts have been perfectly correct so far, let's hope they continue being so tomorrow too Posted Image

EDIT: I deleted the two semis polls (no space) and added one about the final, in order to vote you need to delete your vote and then vote again.

Kaukenas, Schmaukenas, all foreigner's names sound the same to another foreigner :rofl3:

I'm sure the Greek surnames sound pretty outlandish to many other foreigners :rofl3:

Anyway, Lavrinovic would have lasted in the game longer if he'd realized that the refs weren't going to be putting up with Siena's non-sensical heavy-handed fouling in the game. Perhaps his fifth foul was a bit harsh, but his defensive stance last night was pretty much non-existent.

Anyway this final is going to be a battle of legendary teams, and who will be reaching closer to Real's 8 titles by winning the trophy tomorrow :)

I think that whatever happend in the semis has nothing to do with the final. The final is a whole different story.
Panathinaikos after being surprised in the beggining, recovered and had the control of the game 'till the last second!
Real challenged Maccabi only for a half. In the second half Maccabi just show that is a lot better team from Real. In my opinion Real don't deserve at all being in this year's F4.
As I said the final is a completely different story.
Is a 50-50 game. If there is a team that has a slight advantage is PAO because of experience. In my opinion an extra advantage of PAO is Obradovic and Diamantidis!! ;)
I hope we will see a great final, with refs play the game 50-50.
I hope PAO wins the 6th! :P

IMO, Real hadn't deserved even chance to play in TOP 8.

Like I said before, it would have been really refreshing to see Valencia competing in the F4 instead :)

EDIT: It's dawned upon me, that perhaps PAO didn't play its best game yet on purpose. It just wanted to scrape past in the finals and maybe surprise Maccabi with things that they wouldn't expect

Congrats to all those awarded, and especially 3D, a player who most likely no other will exist like him when he chooses to retire. Funny why Mike and Sofo aren't wearing ties but just T shirts. To be honest, I was surprised Sofo got the center position, I had no idea his season was that good!

@Zeus:
Sofo really deserved it.. The guy worked his ass off but he knows it's for his own good as well, he had to prove himself and start being a real basketball player instead of just a big promise. He got the best coach he could for that kind of season and one of the most supportive inviorments, I'm happy it worked out fine as he really has a big part in where this team got.
DD of course deserved the MVP, if. Caja Laboral would advance then maybe there was some sort of doubt between him and San Emeterio but they didn't, the best player won this award as should happen

That's really good news for Sofo :) He's not a little kid any more, and it's time he steps up and shows what he's really made of. Still, he has to learn to pass better and make some reliable short range jumpers. It's not just all about strength and muscling it in the paint.

Congrats for Pao fans, in the end the better team won. Maybe it would be different with Perkins but in reality there was no Perkins so it's just maybe I guess..
It was fun to watch our guys in the end doing exactly what symbolize them best-fighting, never giving up. But it wasn't enough.. Maybe next year, hopefully we can keep our important guys.
So congrats again to Pao fans for a deserved victory,

Best team won, it's as simple as that.

Congrats to Maccabi for making it so far with what they got.

Bad news for PAO is that they will be probably staying out of next season's Top16... but win it in 2013... Posted Image

Congrats on a supreme victory for PAO, this is where experience did the talking, as expected. Refereeing was not of a good standard for a final however, but what do you expect with Lamonica there? Can anybody tell me what call PAO got 1m32s left in the game, when they were making an out with Kalathis, and two seconds after the ref gave the ball to Maccabi?

Maccabi fought back, especially in the end where PAO went to sleep for 2-3 minutes, but overall the team lacked bench depth, and Sofo and Macvan were not enough in quantity to man a front line of centers to go against all the big bodies of PAO. Maccabi got a big total of shots swatted, somewhere approaching 10 or so?

It'll be interesting to see how the guys with this Euroleague experience play for the Israel NT in the upcoming Eurobasket :)

Actually most PAO fans are not so satisfied...

Next Sunday is the Greek Cup final vs Olympiacos... in case of a defeat all of a sudden the season could take a turn to the worse (Olympiacos also holds the home advantage for the A1 finals and is 2-0 up so far this season).

Euroleague's title is far more important, IMO, but I see what you mean.
