Allen Iverson Could Retire After Injury
Turkish Besiktas famous import, Allen Iverson, appears close to end his career in basketball. The former Philadelphia Sixers’ guard injured his left ankle recently and can’t stand the pain anymore. Later today, he will do a press conference to announce that he is going to have surgery in the United States and will be treated here.
That could mean that Iverson’s career is definitely over. “Leaving the basketball world makes me sad but, sometimes, we have to accept things like they are. I can say goodbye to basketball,” he revealed yesterday. “Because pain even made it hard to walk.”

Great signing after all by Besiktas. Exactly as I expected. And btw i smell sth fishy in this whole injury/can\t walk story. Playing for a mediocre team just in Turkey is not very ambitious, is it?

Uhhh, hopefully it is not true. Just can't believe that anyone could post something like that if it is not 1000% confirmed. Today, journalists and media are horrible. So much unconfirmed informations around the media.

Allen iverson : 'surgery. I have never said anything about retirement nor have I said goodbye to the game of basketball. I love this game!
