What do you guys think about Cibona?

They have a very talented but very inexperienced team. They are very inconsistent but they always play with their heart but that isn't enough. I know that they have financial issues but does somebody of you guys know the exact financial situation of Cibona? Can somebody please explain it to me.

If Cibona want to get better, they need to get experienced players but I don't think that they will come because of the financial status. They have talked with Gordan Giricek and he first want to come but later he changed his mind. He said that he didn't want to do the same thing Nikola Vujcic did. He left KK Split to go and play for Efes Pilsen because they play Euroleague and they are a bigger team. Giricek said that Cibona is to great to leave them like that. Does anybody think that he will change his mind again and still come to Cibona?

Is there also a possiblity that Marko Popovic goes to Cibona because I have heard the rumor that they want him and that Marko Popovic has interest to go and play for Cibona. Does anybody something about this? It would be a great transfer for Cibona!!

I hope that Cibona gets more young talented players for the future. I hope they get Ivan Batur, Toni Prostan and Dario Saric. I also hope that they keep Mario Delas because he will become better if he is given time to develop.

Cibona in chaos. After departure of Mario Delas who back to Lithuania.Another who will leave is Marcus Johnson.American and only stranger in the team.Had no patience to wait on salary. And he will probably leave after game against Zadar on Saturday.

Thanks for answering. I hope this will happen and they can keep on playing. With the City of Zagreb in controle maybe good things will happen.
Maybe they can get new players but not spend to much money

I don't think anything will change. Their have too much debt...

The city will just take advantage of the property in and around the arena, which belonged to Cibona, but will now belong to the city which will sell them to rich business groups to create malls or something similar...

If Cibona don't cover debts. And as reported president of Cedevita that Cibona ends contract with Euroleague(A-license) this year.Cedevita will try to make Euroleague debut. As for now standings in Adriatic they are second and if they qualify on Final four Adriatic League they will sure compete in qualifications for Euroleague. And who knows maybe directly in Regular season.Only problem for Cedevita is low fans.Rest they have (good players,money..).

Cibona has a B license. Which is only for 1 season. So basically Euroleague can choose anyone they want.

Anything could happen but my guess is that a new oner/investor will wait for the moment until the club is on the brink of closure and then will use it as convenient position for negotiations. This would mean that a new investor (I presume it's a company) will get all the clauses they demand and they might not be only club-related.

Another scenario could lead to the bankrupt of the club. Then a new club would be established under the same name, same colours etc. It would miss Euroleague for a season or two and then would make a comeback as if nothing happened even though legally it would be a different club.

In the end everyone will get what they want except for the club itself

Guys the game is not about the club... it's about prime real estate in Zagreb... Do you know how much will those shops worth when Croatia enters EU?
