Jorge Garbajosa could leave Real Madrid very soon to make room for Begic on the rooster. They need to cut a player so that Begic can play. It's sad because Garbajosa isn't a bad player. He still could have helped Real Madrid

I think Messina has been a disaster for Real from the very begining

Messina is a good coach but he made some mistakes like everybody can make. He gets players that he think that will fit in his system but eventually they don't fit in his system. I hope Begic will play good for Real Madrid but I also think that Messina will surprise with his next moves in the summer. He will get reinforcements and I think that a couple of players(like Vidal, Reyes, etc.) will move to others teams.

I'm really glad to have two of my fav guards - Sergio and Prigioni on the same team, but I'm also pissed that Sergio plays like shit most of the games. However there is a bright light in the face of Mirotic - I watched him 2 3 years ago in the Junior tournament during the Final 4 in Madrid and he shows that he has developed a lot and can turn into a high class player under the right guidance.

Indeed Sergio is playing not good and he needs to step up his game and show his potential again. He can do so much better. Mirotic is getting playing time the last months. He showing that he can be a great player in the future for Real Madrid. Messina loves the potential of Mirotic and he will be a key-player in the system of Messina. Mirotic will get better every year

Real Madrid interested in Ramunas Siskauskas( CSKA Moscow)

Real Madrid was looking for reinforcement for their games in the Top 16 against Montepaschi Siena, Efes Pilsen and Partizan Belgrade. It’s a tough group so it’s normal that Real Madrid is looking for some reinforcements.

They found some reinforcement at Zalgiris. Real Madrid signed Bosnian center Mirza Begic to a two and half year contract. He will play for Real Madrid till the end of the 2012-2013 season. Zalgiris owner Romanov first didn’t wanted to let Begic go and asked one million euros to buy out the contract of Begic. Rea Madrid offered 500.000 euros and this offer was rejected. Than Real Madrid offered 600.000 euros and Romanov said that he also wanted Ante Tomic to be included in the deal but Real Madrid refused it. Romanov accepted the offer of 600.000 euros and Mirza Begic could for the club he wanted to play for and that was Real Madrid.

Real Madrid was also linked to others players that could be reinforcements for them. One of the rumor was that Real Madrid was very interested in Ramunas Siskaukas of CSKA Moscow. This rumor is true, Real Madrid is very interested in signing the Lithuanian wingplayer. Current Real Madrid headcoach Ettore Messina would love to bring his former pupil to Real Madrid. Ramunas Siskaukas has played under Messina, when Messina was headcoach of CSKA Moscow. Together they won two Russian League titles in 2008 and 2009 and an Euroleague title in 2008.

Ettore Messina has asked the president of Real Madrid about the possible signing of Ramunas Siskauskas. The board has contacted CSKA Moscow about the conditions of Ramunas Siskauskas and this is were the problems came.

Ramunas Siskauskas has a salary of 3 million euros net of tax. CSKA Moscow would be willing to let the player go without another club paying a compensation for him. They would let him go for free because they want to save money because of the financial crisis and because they are eliminated in the Euroleague. Because of the elimination they lost a lot of money and if Ramunas Siskauskas leaves then CSKA Moscow doesn’t have to pay him his salary anymore. This would give them some financial breathing space. Ramunas Siskauskas has a contract till the end of the season.

A part of the management of Real Madrid wanted to sign Ramunas Siskauskas to a contract till the end of the season and see if he still can help the team win and if he could be valuable for the team. But the problem would habe been the following fact: Ramunas Siskauskas would be asking a salary of 1,5 million euros net of tax. Real Madrid would have to pay taxes and charges for Siskauskas because he’s a foreign player. They would have to 500.000 euros on taxes and charges for Ramunas Siskauskas.

Than Siskauskas would cost Real Madrid 2 million euros for five months, that’s 400.000 euros per month. That’s a lot of money. Ettore Messina really wants him because he thinks Ramunas Siskauskas could be very valuable for Real Madrid and could help them in The Euroleague and ACB. The management of Real Madrid doesn’t want to pay 2 million euros for five months for Siskauskas. The management is divided on him. Some believe that Ramunas Siskauskas still is a good players but others say that he’s over his top and his career is going downhill. That’s one of the reasons that they don’t want to pay so much money. Another reason is the fact that Real Madrid already has spent a lot of money on the buy-out of Carlos Suarez this summer( one million euros to buy out his contract at Estudiantes).

Ramunas Siskauskas has also let his manager known that he wants to join Ettore Messina and wants to play for Real Madrid. He believe that he could be valuable for Real Madrid and he could help them. In 2009 Ramunas Siskauskas also received an offer of Real Madrid but refused it and signed a contract extension with CSKA Moscow. He didn’t knew that Ettore Messina would leave the club. Ettore Messina resigned from CSKA immediately after leading them to a Russian title and a Euroleague runner-up finish in 2009.

Some people say that if Real Madrid pays 600.000 euros for Begic( many people don’t find him a good player and they think that he isn’t good enough for Real Madrid), that Real Madrid will pay Siskauskas the money to let him play for them. Ettore Messina has not said much about possible reinforcements but sources say that he’ll will do anything to convince the management of Real Madrid to offer Ramunas Siskauskas a contract.

But likely Ramunas Siskauskas won’t be signed this season. But there could be a possibility that Ramunas Siskauskas could sign for Real Madrid next season. Ramunas Sikauskas his contract expires at the end of this season and it’s very unlikely that CSKA Moscow is going to extend his contract.

Ettore Messina wanted Ramunas Siskauskas from the moment that he was named headcoach of Real Madrid but he couldn’t get him over to Madrid. Now that his contract is going to expire Messina will go and talk with Siskauskas about playing for him again. Ramunas Siskauskas will have to take a pay cut if he goes to Real Madrid but I think that Ettore Messina can get Ramunas Siskauskas this far. If Ramunas Siskauskas can stay healthy and keep in shape, he could still be very valuable for Real Madrid. Ramunas Siskauskas isn’t the player he was in the past but he still can be very good.

We’ll see what happens in the summer.
