Fantasy Challenge round 7 summary PDF Print E-mail

ImageWell it seems I was only partly right with my main moves. Darjus does see less minutes, Tiago is the go-to guy of Caja Laboral enjoying many minutes, but Darjus was decent and Splitter sucked. At least the reasoning was right.

And I say it was right because the SG-SFs of about 50-60 credits did a fine and as I said we saw quite some performances from the PF-Cs of less than 30 credits.

Most notably Sasha Kaun had 24 IRP, Lawrence Roberts 9, Stanko Barac 12, Vukusic 6, Zavackas 21 (if I remember correctly). In any case there are many guys down there that will give you waht you pay for and more.

Now, I wanted to have a look at the Top 50 fantasy players by now and talk about something peculiar I noticed.

Notice anything? Now, I don't know how many KokeMartinez's there are in Spain, how many of them play the Fantasy Challenge and how many of them are good enough to be in the Top 50, but I do find it a bit odd to see 5 users (Last Winner, comepienso, KokeMartinez, KOKEmartinez and Beita) asociated with that name, using the same pattern (CAPITAL letters for team names) to name their teams. Maybe even 6 as Mails also uses the same pattern.

Of course there is no way to trace this as many users may be sharing the same IP, so there is actually no way to ban this. It just makes you wonder: If one person plays with 5-6 accounts for a total of 50-60 teams (maybe even more that are not in the top 50), that person has (besides a huge patience) way more chances to win at the end,  resulting in unfair competition, no? So if this is allowed I have your next year's strategy ready: create 20-30 accounts, make 200-300 teams and you're on your way to the next F4 for free.

What could be done if indeed some people are misusing the competitions opportunities? Either limit the accounts asociated with an IP to just two (in case more members of a household want to play and have only one computer. bigger families usually have more computers, thus more IPs), or set no limits to the number of teams any user can create. Or set no limit to available transfers per week (rofl).

And a tip to KokeMartinez if he really is just one person: avoid patterns and the name KokeMartinez. If he is not one person, I apologize humbly.

Good point about Koke Martinez, I think they should really look into this...
I dont know if there is a similar rule regarding IP addresses in the NBA Fantasy, that they can copy from.
