Today Base Oostende has fired coach Vlada Vukoicic. Vukoicic only coached 4 official games for Oostende. He lost 3 in the ethias league and tied in Eurocup. Last game in Charleroi some players and an assistent coach disagreed with coach Vukoicic and there were arguments during the game. Oostende will now be looking for a new coach while assistent coach Umberto Badioli will take his place. Because former coach Sharon Drücker still hasn't found a team after the Bologna incident, Oostende fans hope for his return.

This weekend was played the 3rd round in ACB league. At this moment, it’s clear that Regal Barcelona and Tau Ceramica are the best teams in the competition, while Bruesa, ViveMenorca, C.B. Murcia and Cajasol couldn’t get a win yet. The last one of them, the sevillian team, even lost two consecutive games this week by at least twenty points of difference.
In the opening game of the season Aris BSA got a
In their first game at home this season, Cajasol Seville got a knockout by Unicaja Malaga (60-91) in a game which showed how far are sevillians from being the great team they are supposed to be, and the great basketball that Unicaja is playing this season. It was a game between individual players, such as Carter and Pecile, against an entire time, as it is the one from Malaga.
Unicaja Malaga hosted Real Madrid in their first game of the new ACB season and they were well prepared. Aito Garcia Reneses who led Spain to Olympic silver in summer is in charge of the Andalusian team. His new team dominated right from the start. Real Madrid managed to cut their lead to 5 points several. But it was Unicaja ahead all the time.
Branko Milisavljevic is a new player at Lietuvos Rytas but he had no troubles adjusting in a game against arch rivals Zalgiris. Lithuanian champions were the favourites to win the game. Though everytime when these two teams meet each other the chances are equal despite missing players.
Zalgiris defeated Greek giants Panathinaikos 80:69 in Moscow to take Alexandr Gomelsky Cup and 45,000 Euros. Paulius Jankunas and Ratko Varda both had 15 points for Zalgiris. Both teams will meet each other in Euroleague first round in Athens. Zeljko Obradovic took two time-outs in the dying minutes but they changed nothing.
