Argentina
Argentina will have a chance to repeat its 2004 glory after defeating Greece 80:78 (22:23, 17:17, 17:15, 24:23). The game was close as expected right from the start and it could have gone either way in the end.

Both teams had similar stats in almost every component of the game. The biggest lead hat Olympic Champions had was 7 points and it was only achieved in the final quarter. But Greece didn't let them take the win easily.

With less than 10 seconds till the final whistle, Greece had the ball. They were down by 2 points and Vasilis Spanoulis took the ball and tried to seal the win for World Championship runners-up but his shot was wide.

Manu Ginobili and Carlos Delfino were the main weapons for Argentina both scoring above 20 points.

Argentina will try to repeat 2004 semi-final against United States on Friday.

Argentina: Emanuel Ginobili 24, Carlos Delfino 23, Andres Nocioni 12, Luis Scola 11, Pablo Prigioni 7, Leonardo Gutierrez 3.
Greece: Antonis Fotsis 17, Kostas Tsartsaris 13, Ioannis Bouroussis 12, Panagiotis Vasilopoulos 10, Vasilis Spanoulis 9, Dimitris Diamantidis 6, Nikos Zisis 5, Theo Papaloukas 4, Sofoklis Schortsianitis 2.
