Euroleague's April MVP - Ramunas Siskauskas PDF Print E-mail
2008-04-14 11:51
Ramunas SiskauskasCSKA Moscow Lithuanian forward Ramunas Siskauskas was named the MVP of April in Euroleague. Last year's Euroleague champion with Panathinaikos fit in well in Ettore Messina's team and is one of the most dangerous players for the opposition to guard.

In April Ramunas Siskauskas averaged 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals. He also made 61.5% of his two-pointers (8 for 14), 62.5% of his threes (10 for 16) and all 10 free throws he took.

Siskauskas could also make history this year if he wins Euroleague with CSKA Moscow. Only two players have won two consecutive titles with two different teams. Dejan Bodiroga did it in 2002 with Panathinaikos and in 2003 with Barcelona. The other player who has accomplished that, is Lithuanian star Sarunas Jasikevicius. He lifted the trophy in 2003 and 2004 playing for Barcelona and Maccabi respectively.

CSKA Moscow lost their first quarter-finals game against Olympiakos but managed to win twice and dvanced to the Final Four for the 6th season in a row.
