 Efes Pilsen's head coach David Blatt has resigned after the club suffered a loss against 77-81 against Pinar Karsiyaka in Turkish league. The club started the season quite well. Efes Pilsen reached Top 16 in Euroleague and even defeated defending champions Panathinaikos.
Four of the club's American players refused to travel to Belgrade and three of them were released. Since then Efes Pilsen lost all their games in Euroleague and weren't impressive in the Turkish league either. There are rumours for a couple of months already suggesting that David Blatt is wanted by CSKA Moscow for the next season. There are serious intentions to have Russian national team head coach working at a Russian club with Ettore Messina being linked with Barcelona. Ekrem Memnun will be the head coach till the end of the season.

Latest signing of Partizan is Zarko Rakocevic (24 years, 204 cm), Montenegrian center who made his craft playing for Buducnost Podgorica. He is capable of playing both center and power-forward positions and he will be a valuable adding to the frontcourt after the departure of Nikola Pekovic and Dejan Borovnjak.
Union Olimpija today announced that they parted ways with back-up point guard Maurice Bailey (183 cm, 1981). He signed 2-year deal before previous season but wasn't happy with his role. Olimpija already bringed Jonathan Wallace (188 cm, 1986) for his spot few days ago so Bailey's departure was expected. Where he'll play next season isn't known yet.
