Siauliai want Sireika to return |

 Third strongest team in Lithuania for the past few seasons want their former head coach to return. Robertas Kuncaitis has resigned and the board are trying to convince Antanas Sireika to take the seat. Sireika won one the biggest trophies that a coach can win - Eurobasket 2003 as a head coach of Lithuanian national team. He was in charge of Žalgiris before moving to Russia to coach Unics Kazan.
Antanas Sireika once made a promise that he will to Šiauliai when the town has a new arena built. This condition was fullfiled in the summer 2007 with the opening of Šiaulių Arena. The club made a debut in the ULEB Cup this year where they finished 4th in Group A to miss Last 32 on points difference. The club is 4th in Lithuanian League with 7 wins and 6 losses.

Latest signing of Partizan is Zarko Rakocevic (24 years, 204 cm), Montenegrian center who made his craft playing for Buducnost Podgorica. He is capable of playing both center and power-forward positions and he will be a valuable adding to the frontcourt after the departure of Nikola Pekovic and Dejan Borovnjak.
Union Olimpija today announced that they parted ways with back-up point guard Maurice Bailey (183 cm, 1981). He signed 2-year deal before previous season but wasn't happy with his role.
