    Image Union Olimpija today announced that they parted ways with back-up point guard Maurice Bailey (183 cm, 1981). He signed 2-year deal before previous season but wasn't happy with his role. Olimpija already bringed Jonathan Wallace (188 cm, 1986) for his spot few days ago so Bailey's departure was expected. Where he'll play next season isn't known yet.

Kennedy WinstonAnkara side Turk Telekom signed former Panathinaikos player Kennedy Winston. Winston averaged 5 points and 2.3 rebounds with PAO in Euroleague last season. The player made his debut in Europe with Spanish side Gran Canaria in 2005-2006 and he also played for another Greek team Panionios in 2006-2007 season.

Krstic gets 3 mil. euros per year in Triumph

Nenad KrsticNenad Krstic decided to return in Europe after four seasons with the New Jersey Nets. Member of Serbia NT signed a two year deal with Triumph from Moscow region, worth 6 million euros. Former Partizan player formally became a member of the Russian club on tuesday.

Boykins spent last season at Charlotte Bobacts which was his 8th NBA club during his career. At the height of just 1.65m Boykins was one of the better point guards in NBA.

Nenad Krstic heading to Russia

Nenad KrsticYet another NBA player is on his way to Russia. According to Israeli site Sport5, Nenad Krstic (25, 2.13) agreed terms with Triumph Lyubertsy. Krstic had 6.6 points 4.4 rebounds per game in NBA last season playing for New Jersey Nets. His best season in NBA was in 2006-2007 as he had 13.5 points per game in 80 games.

Guests from Scandinavia gave a good fight for European bronze medalists in the first half. Although there was an objective reason for a slow play of Lithuania.

Serbia won the Mechel cup

Zoran ErcegNational team of Serbia won the Mechel cup in Moscow, thanks to the victory over European champions Russia on the final day - 75:74 (24:18, 22:24, 14:12, 15:20). Zoran Erceg scored eight points in the final three minutes (5-5 FT), including final two points that sealed the victory for the team of Dusan Ivkovic. Russia had the final possesion, but J.R. Holden and Nikita Morgunov missed their shots.
