He signed 2-year deal before previous season but wasn't happy with his role. Olimpija already bringed Jonathan Wallace (188 cm, 1986) for his spot few days ago so Bailey's departure was expected. Where he'll play next season isn't known yet.

American point guard signed a contract with Lokomotiv Rostov. 32-year-old veteran led Zalgiris to LKL title for two consecutive seasons. He was the leader in assists per game in Euroleague with 5.4 assists per game. The future of other Zalgiris' players is also not clear.

Rasho Nesterovic After the preparation game for Qulification tournamenbt for Olmpyic Games we talked with Rasho Nesterovic, Slovenian center, who played for Toronto Raptors last year and was traded to Indiana Pacers recently. He's lone NBA player who will play for national team this year and he showed yesterday that he's at the moment best Slovenian player. Captain had 21 points and 10 rebounds in very close game, at the end it was 73-70 for Slovenia.

Image Roko Leni Ukic, Croatian point guard, who had valid contract with Barcelona but was loaned to Lottomatica Roma last year, won’t continue his career with the Spanish team. Spanish newspaper “Marca” is writing that Barca set Ukic free and gave him freedom to find new club.

Euroleague BasketballYesterday the Euroleague Basketball Board met at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona in order to decide and announce the new changes that will be set from the upcoming season. These changes have to do with the format of the competition, the new rules that were announced by FIBA and some changes that are considered to be set during the next years.

11 Europeans selected in NBA Draft 2008

Derrick RoseNBA clubs picked eleven European players in NBA Draft 2008. Nine of them are playing in Europe. The highest pick was Danilo Gallinari selected 6th overall by New York Knicks. Meanwhile Panathinaikos' new signing Nikola Pekovic was drafted 31st overall by Miami Heat but was traded to Minnesota Timberwolves.
