 CSKA Moscow had no troubles in Italy as they destroyed Lottomatica. Russian champs had the lead 28-10 after the 1st quarter and never looked back. They won all four quarters to reach the 3rd win in four games. A win next week would secure CSKA a place in quarter finals. Lottomatica was totally different from the team that lost in Moscow last second. |

 TAU Ceramica remains the only team that haven't suffered a single defeat in Top 16 so far. Spaniards won a very close game against Group B winners Lietuvos Rytas. This win also secured them a place in quarter finals and most likely 1st place in Group E. For Rytas it is win or die situation as they must win their both remaining games in order to finish 2nd. |

 According to Turkbasket, Efes Pilsen are already looking for replacements of released Americans. Larry Ayuso who was released by Cibona earlier this season is thought to be attracting the interest of the Turkish club. That would be a third try for Ayuso to play in Euroleague after being fired twice by Žalgiris and Cibona. He averaged 12.8 points per game in 13 games that he played in Euroleague. |

 Bootsy Thornton of Montepaschi Siena was named MVP for February. He helped his team to win all three Top 16 games so far, including overtime away win against Efes Pilsen in Turkey and a win against defending champions Panathinaikos at home in Siena. Thornton was scoring 16.7 points per game in February. He made eight steals against Partizan in Top 16 opener. |

 Jordi Bertomeu, CEO of Euroleague is not sure about possible NBA expansion in Europe. Sports Illustrated published an article with his views. Bertomeu named at least four reasons that make the expansion questionable. Although David Stern has a different opinion and believes that NBA could succeed in Europe. |

 Efes Pislen released three of four Americans that refused to travel to Belgrade. Andre Hutson was fined and will stay at the club while Loren Woods, Drew Nicholas and Rashad Wright will have to look for a new club. Nicholas was the top scorer for Efes Pilsen in Euroleague averaging 15.8 points per game in regular season. In Top 16 scoring increased to 20.5ppg. |

 Hapoel Jerusalem agreed terms with American point guard Orein Green. 26-year-old previously played for Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings in the NBA. Green played in New Zealand too where he led the league in steals per game. Meanwhile Hapoel head coach Dan Shamir is going to join David Blatt in CSKA Moscow next year as an assistant coach according to the latest rumours. |
