According to local rumours, the Chinese guard, who will be signed by Panathinaikos is Yue Sun.
Panathinaikos just yesterday agreed terms with Stephane Lasme, but the squad's rebuilding is in progress, so the team will be ready by September. It was known that the Greens were waiting for a positive reply from Jasikevicius, but it seems that the Lithuanian will move to Maccabi.
As a result, Panathinaikos's board called Sun Yue to replace the Lithuanian. The Chinese guard (2.06m, 95kg) is currently playing for Beijing Olympians. He was selected at #40 back in 2007 draft class, but the team which drafted him was Los Angeles Lakers, so it was kind of difficult to get a role at that team.
He managed to play 10 games, but after that he was sent to LA D-Fenders and later on he rejoined his previous team Olympians of Beijing.
Although it is not official, Panathinaikos hasn't refuted the news. This will be the fifth player who joins the team, after the total reconstruction.
