One of the oldest, most important and titled basketball clubs in Europe - Virtus Bologna, is strongly interested in signing Bulgarian Kaloyan Ivanov, informs sportando.net.

The team, who was founded in 1870, finished at the 5th place in regular season of Italian Serie A before losing the quarterfinal battle in playoffs against BANCO di Sardegna.

Virtus first desire was to add Kaloyan twin brother to their roster for 2012/2013 - Dejan Ivanov. Last Monday Dejan decided to change the road of his professional career and after 3,5 seasons with the jersey of another Italian squad - Montegranaro, officialy joined Lithuanian side Lietuvos Rytas.

Then Virtus focused on the player, who looks like exactly like Dejan and plays exactly like him - Kaloyan. 206 cm tall power forward had his best season so far in Spain averaging 11,9 points and 7,9 rebounds in 34 ACB league games for Alicante.
