It was a big day for Swedish basketball history because the Scandinavians managed to beat Spain 78-69 at home, who is already one of the favourites of Eurobasket Women 2013.

Swedish team, led by Eldebrink sisters, namely Frida (24 points, 5/6 three pointers) and Eli n(6 rebounds, 5 assists) managed to keep Spanish away from them in the scoresheet until the fourth quarter.

An impressive comeback from experienced Spain, with efforts from Elisa Aguilar, Amaya Valdemoro and young Gran Canarian Vanessa Ble was not simply enough. For now, Spain and Sweden leads the Group D with Romania, all with one win and loss.
