JaVale McGee shared his thoughts on receiving his championship ring from the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night.
McGee said he wanted to get his ring with fans in attendance at Staples Center and not just have the Lakers send it to him.
“JaVale McGee said the Lakers asked him whether he wanted them to send him his championship ring or present it to him. McGee said he wanted to get it “with fans in the stands.” McGee said he even had some family in the crowd tonight,” Mike Singer of the Denver Post reports.
McGee returned to Staples Center for the first time as an opponent and had 10 points (5/7 shooting) in the 89-93 loss of Denver to the Lakers.
